Andrew's Home Page

My name's Andrew Scott Bolland, aka. Chris Knight, and I'm a Geologist (M.S. 1998 Ohio State University) with a specialty in GIS. Nowdays, I'm a gainfully unemployed engineering geologist after working two years for IT Corporation, which went belly-up in early 2001. I spend my spare weekends with my wife, doing research in electromagnetics, traveling or working on our fixer-upper house in the country.

I'm also the WebMaster here at Optical Multimedia (i.e. the one who gets blamed when anything goes wrong). We've moved exclusively into designing CBT (Computer Based Training) programs, and are currently working on a CBT to be used in high voltage plasma and electromagnetic field research.

I love to study electronic equipment. If it's cool and electron-powered, I'll probably have the case open trying to see how it works. Anyhow, since you've come to my page, here are a couple of photos that were lying around the house...

Friends, Family, and Places - These are some of the people who have travelled through life with me:
My most excellent and attractive wife...She's fashionable, she's dimpled...she's Miss Linda! Good to go in the dorm or snow.

My part Angoran/Persian cat from my childhood, named Pip, after Pip from Great Expectations.

One of my best college buddies, Rich Boyson and wife (fiance'at the time), Karen) who gave up the electric guitar and long hair (before) for a good job and a house in the suburbs (after). Go figure.

Two more of my good friends, Pat n' Cindy, both crazy and lots of fun. Pat and I grew up on Atari and Nintendo, and Cindy and I escaped from the Ohio University Geography Department together (don't go there!).

Yet another of my friends, Vlad, and me on our first night of Spring Break '94, in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

Me across the street from my friend, Pam's, place in West End, Jamaica.

Guess who and that Area 51 guy, Glenn Campbell before he was run out of Rachael, Nevada.

Yup (again), at the Little A'le'inn in Rachael Nevada near Area 51 guy. Interesting pictures on the walls.

Van Tassel's Integreton in the Morongo Valley area above Joshua Tree.

Our fixer-upper house and cabin in the desert that are slowly becoming functional. It has a nice view, a tractor, and beautiful flowers in the spring. What more could a person ask for?
